Year Six

Welcome to the Year Six class page!

This year Mr Sainsbury’s class is named after Tommy Flowers, who was an English engineer famous for designing and building Colossus, the world’s first programmable electronic computer during World War 2 to help solve encrypted German messages.

Miss Jones’ class is anmed after Marie Curie, who was a Polish-French scientist who won two Nobel prizes for her work on radioactivity.  She helped to discover radioactive elements including radium, used for many years to treat cancer.
